Basic maintenance of notebook computers

In the course of the laptop use ,there are dust into the computer, as well as some bad operating habits, resulting in computer consumption, through proper maintenance can improve the computer's life.

Steps:

Before cleaning and maintenance, please follow the steps below to maintain your notebook and related peripherals:

Step 1: Turn off the power and remove the external power cord, remove the internal battery and all external equipment cable.

Step 2: With a small vacuum cleaner connector, keyboard gap and other parts of the dust suction.

Step 3: Slightly dry with a dry cloth and then gently wipe the surface of the chassis, please do not put any detergent into the machine to avoid short circuit burned.

Step 4: Wait for the notebook to be completely dry before turning on the power.

1. Maintenance of the LCD screen:

* When you do not use the computer for a long time, you can temporarily turn off the LCD screen only through the function keys on the keyboard. In addition to saving power, the screen life can be extended.

* Do not force the cover of the LCD screen or place any foreign matter between the keyboard and the display screen to avoid damage to the cover glass due to heavy pressure.

* Do not touch the screen surface with fingernails and sharp objects (hard objects) to avoid scratching.

 * Liquid crystal display screen surface will be due to static electricity and dust, it is recommended to buy a liquid crystal display screen dedicated cleaning cloth to clean your screen, do not use your fingers to shoot in order to avoid leaving fingerprints, and gently wipe.

* Do not use chemical cleaners to wipe the screen.

2. Battery maintenance:

* Room temperature (20-30 degrees) for the battery the most appropriate working temperature, the temperature is too high or too low operating environment will reduce the battery life.

* It is not correct to remove the battery to extend the life of the battery when using a laptop in an environment that provides a stable power supply.

* It is recommended that an average of three months of battery power calibration action.

3.Maintenance of the keyboard:

* When accumulating dust, use a small brush to clean the gap, or use a high-pressure jet tank that normally cleans the camera lens, blows the dust, or uses a palm-sized vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris from the keyboard.

* Clean the cover with a soft cloth stained with a little cleaning agent, shut down the notebook ,gently wipe the keyboard surface.

4.Maintenance of the hard drive:

* Switch machine process is the most vulnerable when the hard disk. At this point the hard disk bearings have not yet stable speed, if the vibration, it is likely to cause bad track. It is recommended to wait about ten seconds after the shutdown and then move the laptop.

 * Perform monthly disk reassembly and scans per month to improve disk access efficiency.

5.Thermal dissipation

    * Do not put the laptop on soft items, such as: bed, sofa, it may block the cooling holes  and affect the cooling effect and thus reduce operational efficiency, or even crash.
